Our purpose

Nautical tourism is booming, and its growth can be a major force for environmental protection—if managed correctly. The EnviroNaut project has identified the critical missing element: the role of the Environmental Officer. This specialist ensures sustainable tourism growth by bridging the gap between visitor demand and ecological stewardship.

By integrating environmental stewardship into recreational boating, marinas, and tourism services, the Environmental Officer ensures that tourism expands hand-in-hand with sustainability. This role is on track to transform the industry into one that not only meets today’s increasing demand, but also robustly preserves the beauty and biodiversity of our seas.

The objectives:
